The Board of HWR announced the appointment of Brent Esler to the role of CEO for the company. Brent joins the HWR business on 1^st November 2015 to work through a transition period with current Managing Director Scott O’Donnell, and will assume control on 1 January 2016.

Brent’s most recent role was CEO of CRT from 2004 to 2013 and then leading the merger of CRT and Farmlands 2013-2015. He has a strong connection to rural New Zealand, a passion for all things mechanical and a strong IT background.

Brent will relocate to Invercargill with wife Coral to commence on the 1^st November.

Scott O’Donnell will continue on as a Director of HWR and focus on managing the wider HWR Group’s property interests.

Here’s a couple of tips to make your fuel last longer between fill ups:

• Check your tyre pressure once a week. Keep your tyres inflated to a pressure slightly higher than that stated in the vehicle handbook, this will help with better fuel economy and safer handling.

• Replacing dirty air filters in your vehicle is another way to get better fuel economy.  A clogged air filter can equal up to a 10% increase in fuel consumption
